Our trip to Pakistan

On the 23rd of December, my mom, my brother, my sister and I all went on a trip to Pakistan. My dad couldn't come as he had to stay home to work. We stayed for ten days (until the 3rd of January) then ended up back home on the 4th. We had a connected flight from Gatwick to Dubai then to Karachi, our final destination.
Once we had collected our suitcases, we were then greeted by two of our exhausted cousins (as it was 6am, the youngest was still asleep) and 'The Major Domo' as my mother calls him. We then went on a half hour drive to home, where we were greeted by our aunt.
When we were inside, we woke up the youngest one who is a year younger than me. We then played on the Wii, for a very long time.
If you wanted to know, we played Super SmashBros Brawl.
Then we went to have breakfast, or 'Khana' in Urdu, which means food. We had Paratha and Dhal with Yoghurt, or 'Dahi' in Urdu.
The thing I loved the most about our trip was our trip to the beach. This was mostly because the sandy beaches there are beautiful, and the water is my favourite thing, not on the beach, but just generally.
My cousin and I made a mini aquarium with animals that we didn't know the species of. To me, they looked like mussels or sea snails; we also found a couple of worms, too. At home, we filled a fish bowl with water (we put salt in it so it became saltwater :) ) and we put sand in it that my cousin (Umn) had collected from LA and coral that my uncle collected from Hawaii (they soon died... lesson learnt. Don't keep animals coming straight from the ocean :/ ). Something that I also love about the water in Pakistan is that you can get used to the temperature surprisingly easily. Whether it's below 2 degrees Celsius or above 70 degrees, your body will get used to it in a matter of seconds.
At the beach, there was a little hut that we stayed in for a couple of hours until we left... it was the the most comfortable hut that I had ever stayed in (not that I have stayed in too many huts in my life). It had a thatched little bed in the middle and small grey mattresses in the corners... with pillows! At the end of the room, there was a counter with many things piled on top of it... I can't even name anything that was there except chocolate. Since the room was not on the ground, just outside there was a cooler which contained a huge variety of tropical juices... and you would be able to watch the tide drawn in and retreat back... while relaxing on deckchairs in the sun!
One thing that I regret about our trip is the fact that we were on the Wii for a while. That was he only thing that they suggested, but I am happy that we went lots of places and we went for lots of walks.Speaking of going many places, almost everyday was a wedding event, or a Shadi in Urdu. In the end, the boys and I got tired of them, but my sister didn't seem to. My mom might have a bit, and my uncle, too. My aunt also seemed interested every day, but at the end of every one, everybody was really annoyed and wanted to sleep.
On Christmas Day, we didn't even realise until midday! We still ignored the fact that it was Christmas, though. "It's too hot to be Christmas," my younger cousin Uzm said, which as absolutely true.
On that day, we (my sister Lulu, Umn, Uzm and I) painted, but Lulu was just filling her sketchbook because that was her homework... doesn't make much sense. I painted a cartoon of a penguin standing on a turtle (2 favorite animals) which was looking out to sea (my favorite thing). That's where I got my comic idea from of fLIp 'n rAy!
Still on it... I'll do one on my blog soon!
Well, those were all my favorite things about Pakistan (obviously except for paragraph 5) and I hope you enjoy and are inspired to go there maybe when you're older if you're a kid, or now if you're an adult (highly unlikely that either types of strangers will be reading this but still)!
